Over $10M in SBA relief approved for Kentucky residents impacted by storms

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The U.S. Small Business Administration approved more than $10 million in federal disaster loans to support Kentucky businesses, nonprofits, homeowners and renters affected by severe storms, flooding and landslides between February 14 and March 17. Officials with the SBA also say that there are still opportunities for those impacted by severe weather to apply for financial support.

Applications for physical property damage can be filed online, by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 or by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information disaster assistance. Officials say the loan amount can be up to $2 million with interest rates as low as 4% for small businesses, 3.625% for PnPs and 2.75% for homeowners and renters, with terms up to 30 years.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is May 25, and the deadline to return economic injury applications is November 24.
