Fastball: Pope John Paul II advances to the semi-finals for the first time since 1998

SLIDELL (WGNO) — No. 3 Pope John Paul II defeated No. 6 Episcopal, 6-1, in game two of their Division III Select series Friday night.

With the win, Pope John Paul II advances to the semi-final round for the first time since 1998.

The Jags won a state championship that year.

Highlights of this game were featured on WGNO’s Friday Night Fastball presented by Delgado Community College, Step Closer to Unstoppable.

There is one more show on Friday, May 9, starting at 11 p.m. on Nola 38, the CW. The show replays at midnight on WGNO.
