Woman killed after Clinton County crash; 4 injured

ALBANY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Tennessee woman died after a two-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon in Clinton County, while four others were injured.

Kentucky State Police (KSP) announced that around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, Kayelyn Garrett, 21, of Livingston, was traveling on KY Highway 558. Derek Guffey, 18, of Albany, was traveling on U.S. Highway 127 approaching the KY 558 intersection when he and Garrett crashed.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Garrett was taken to a hospital in Albany, where she died from her injuries, according to KSP.

State police said Guffey and a minor in Garrett’s car were both taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Two other passengers riding with Garrett, Sierra Fulton, 23, of Monticello, and another minor, were taken to the medical center in Albany to be treated for minor injuries.

KSP did not give an update on the status of the two people seriously hurt in the crash. This crash is still under investigation.
