Two hospitalized after shooting near Chicago high school

CHICAGO (WGN) — At least two people were hospitalized after a shooting near a high school in the city’s Near West Side neighborhood, fire officials confirmed.

First responders were called to the 2000 block of West Adams Street on Friday afternoon for a call of shots fired.

Chicago Bulls College Prep High School is located on the block but it was not immediately clear if shots were fired inside or outside the building.

Fire officials told WGN that one of the injured people was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. It’s unknown where the second person was taken.
