Philadelphia Marketplace returns to Love Park on Friday:
- Philadelphia Marketplace returns to Dilworth Park for the spring and early summer with a six-week ultimate artist showcase.
- Look for top artists and makers from May 2 to June 28, every Friday and Saturday, from Noon to 6:00 p.m.
- Philadelphia Marketplace will also have a special “Vintage Marketplace” takeover on May 30-31 and June 27-28. These weekends will feature vendors specializing in vintage clothing, jewelry, trinkets, and more, alongside the usual Marketplace activities.
- Philadelphia Marketplace and Vintage Marketplace are free to attend, with shopping pay-as-you-go basis.
- Located at Dilworth Park on the West Side of City Hall.
12th Annual Maifest spring festival and block party:
- Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m..
- Brauhaus Schmitz will close down South Street at the 700 block for an all-day, all-ages celebration that will feature authentic German culture, live music, delicious food, and of course, plenty of beer!
- The all-day outdoor block party is FREE to attend, with food and drink pay as you go.
- VIP tickets are available for $100 and include food, drink, and access to the Brauer Bund, where you will find seating, a private bathroom, an extensive German Food Buffet, and TVs to catch sporting events of the day and the Kentucky Derby.
The 2025 IBX Broad Street Run is on Sunday:
- The 2025 Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run will be held on Sunday, May 4, at 7 a.m.
- The 46th annual race, which is “the nation’s largest 10-mile road race,” will begin at Broad Street and Sommerville Avenue and finish in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

Peddler’s Village Strawberry Festival is this weekend:
- Celebrate berry sweet traditions at the Strawberry Festival on Saturday & Sunday, May 3 & 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- The weekend will feature strawberry-themed food, beverages, live music, food trucks, kids’ activities, and shop specials.
- Admission is free.

May the 4th be with you in New Hope:
- May the 4th be with you, as New Hope is getting ready to transform into a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
- From 12- 4 p.m. on May 4, New Hope’s Main Street will be transformed into a Star Wars lover’s dream.
- The event will feature appearances from iconic Star Wars characters, free meet-and-greets, themed cocktails, Star Wars trivia, costume contests, scavenger hunts, creative workshops, and special sales all day long.
Kentucky Derby Day specials and events:
- Kentucky Derby Celebration at Parx
- 2999 Street Rd Bensalem, PA 19020
- Gates open at 10 a.m., and the first live post is at 12:40 p.m.
- Experience the thrill of live thoroughbred racing and watch the Kentucky Derby action on the giant in-field television.
- FREE Family Fun from 12 pm – 5 pm in the Picnic Grove, including pony rides, moon bounces, face painters, and more.
- Derby Day specials at PJ Clarke’s Philadelphia
- The party from 3-7 p.m.
- Food specials start at $8, and drink specials are $10.
- Derby Day Viewing Party at Yards Brewing
- Yards will host a Derby Day Viewing Party with the most exciting 2 minutes in sports on the televisions with sound, prizes, food, drink specials, and more.
Cinco de Mayo weekend events:
- La Baja special tasting menu dinner
- Seating times available are at 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
