The sheriff’s office says deputies were called to the 300 block on S. Leggett in Porterville around noon after receiving a report of an attempted home invasion.
On scene, deputies say they learned that a “masked man” in his late teens or early 20s forced his way into the home. When he was confronted by a victim inside, deputies say a fight broke out, but no injuries were reported.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect then ran off and got into a vehicle waiting nearby. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
