Going into the fifth inning the game still sat at zeros until Jace Elrod knocked the ball out to center, bringing home Jarret Halter to put the Hawks first on the board. Shortly after, Hunter Rose brought in Elrod with an RBI double giving Pleasant Grove a 2-0 advantage going into the sixth.
Momentum carried over into the sixth inning, with a two RBI triple from Elrod put the Hawks up 4-0. Rose shortly after had a similar move, putting one deep into the outfield bringing in another two runs and also landing on third, giving the Hawks the 6-0 victory.
