Between January and March, patrons placed their unused tickets in designated boxes located throughout the casino floor. As a result, three Central Louisiana organizations will each receive $1,000 in contributions.
The selected beneficiaries for the first quarter of 2025 are United Way of Central Louisiana, the Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society, and DementiaSociety.Org. Each group will use the funds to further its mission of providing essential services and support to the region.
“Supporting the community is a cornerstone of our mission at Paragon Casino Resort,” said General Manager Marshall Ray Sampson, Sr. “This program offers an easy way for our guests to contribute to causes that make a difference, and we’re grateful for their support in making this initiative a success.”
The casino will announce its next round of recipients at the end of the second quarter. Nonprofits interested in participating are encouraged to apply ahead of the upcoming deadlines—May 1 for the spring cycle and November 1 for the fall.
To qualify, applicants must be Louisiana-based 501(c)(3) organizations focused on charitable, educational, scientific, literary, or animal and child welfare purposes. Selected organizations will share equally in the available funds collected during each six-month cycle. Groups may apply once per calendar year.
