According to officials, a preliminary investigation indicated a man was riding a Honda Pioneer UTV on a dirt road within the property. The vehicle, police said, was traveling at an unsafe speed as it approached a curve.

The driver lost control and the UTV left the roadway, striking a wire fence and overturning. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries, police said.

Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Officials did not release the name of the deceased and directed inquiries regarding his identity to the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
