Interim Norfork School Superintendent discusses financial stability, bright future

Following the Norfork School Board’s buyout of former Superintendent Chip Layne in February in which they paid him a lump sum of $150,000, some questions have been raised about the financial stability of the district after paying out that much money.

Interim Superintendent Richard Blevins, who was raised in Izard County and was a former superintendent at Augusta and Midland, says the Norfork District is in good shape financially.
