BREMERTON, Wash. – A U.S. Navy aircraft carrier is undergoing scheduled maintenance, and a sailor from Hazleton is part of the crew working on it.
The Navy shared with the Sentinel a photo of James Bugda, Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class, performing work in the armory aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier U.S.S. Ronald Reagan. The ship is in port at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton in Washington.
The ship, the Navy says, is undergoing scheduled maintenance at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
