Volunteers celebrate Earth Month at FDR Park

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — Green Mountain Energy celebrated Earth Month by partnering with Fairmount Park Conservancy.

On Tuesday, volunteers continued the restoration of the natural habitat at the Pattison Lagoon by adding new plants and trees. The new plants will help establish a more resilient habitat, according to the clean energy retailer.

The lagoon has faced environmental challenges for decades. Because of that, Fairmount Park Conservancy and volunteers have been working on restoration over the past 18 months.
