Logansport man convicted of child molestation, exploitation sentenced to 98 years in prison

LOGANSPORT, Ind. — A Logansport man convicted of child molestation and exploitation was sentenced to 98 years in prison on Wednesday.

According to a press release from the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office, 42-year-old Justin Bault was convicted during a trial in March.

Police first began looking into Bault’s activity in September of 2022. At the time, Bault was accused of molesting two girls when they were each seven years old. Bault was also accused of taking photos of the acts.

Bault received 45 years in prison for each of the two child molesting charges he faced. Bault was also sentenced to an additional eight years in prison on a child exploitation charge.

The CCPO wrote that Bault has two additional pending criminal cases, according to court records. One is regarding sexual misconduct with a minor, and the other involves unlawful carrying of a handgun. Bault will receives sentences in his two other cases on May 8 at 1 p.m., according to the CCPO.
