A line of storms is forecast to enter northwestern Alabama Thursday afternoon and continue southeastward through the evening. The greatest risk will be damaging straight-line winds with some hail possible and occur in the Slight Risk as shown in the graphic below.  The line will weaken quickly as it approaches I-59 and any damaging wind gusts will be isolated near and south of I-59.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms will occur across the state Friday afternoon into Saturday morning, and mainly across the southern half of the state Saturday afternoon and evening.  A few storms each afternoon and evening may produce wind gusts from 40-60 mph, but widespread severe weather will not occur.  Total rainfall will generally be 0.5-2 inches, with locally higher amounts in stronger storms.

Dry conditions, cooler temperatures and lower humidity will occur Sunday through Tuesday.
