Internationally acclaimed DJ Steve Aoki is headed to San Jose’s SoFA District. The block party is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, the day before the team takes on Lionel Messi and the Inter Miami CF at PayPal Park.
The team’s President, Jared Shawlee, said he is “thrilled” for the block party and Aoki.
“Bringing in a globally renowned artist like Steve Aoki will be a celebration of our community, our fans and the growing energy around the sport of soccer as we build toward the 2026 World Cup,” Shawlee added.
Aoki has performed at countless festivals, including Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock Festival, Tomorrowland and Electric Daisy Carnival.
The event will have more than 40 local vendors, tours of new businesses and community engagement activities.
Despite the event being free, tickets are available on Eventbrite. The tickets are sold out. However, there is a waitlist.
The Earthquakes are ranked tenth in the Western Conference (3-1-6). The team has scored a total of 10 points this season. On May 3, the Earthquakes will face the Portland Timbers at PayPal Park.
