In September 2024, court documents state the Abilene Police Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Gomez had been uploading child pornography to Dropbox.

The documents reveal detectives executed a search warrant at Gomez’s residence in March 2025 and found more than 200 images of pornography involving children between the ages of 5 to 9 and one video of a teenager engaged in sexual activity.

During a subsequent interview, the documents reveal Gomez did admit to uploading and possessing the child pornography.

In December 2024, court documents state the Abilene Police Department received a tip that Caballero was uploading child pornography to Snapchat.

The documents reveal detectives executed a search warrant for Caballero’s devices and contacted him at school where he was a student, and he admitted to possessing the pornography.

A download of his phone revealed less than 100 images and videos of child pornography according to the documents.

Gomez remains held in the Taylor County Jail on a $75,000 bond, and Caballero is held in jail on a $100,000 bond.
