SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Authorities arrested a suspect from last week’s shooting involving the alleged boyfriend firing at his former girlfriend’s current boyfriend.
Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit says the arrest was in connection with an April 24th shooting just after 4 p.m. in the 3800 block of Greenway Place. They identified the suspect as Darryl Williams and arrested him with one count of attempted second-degree murder.
They say the shooting stemmed from a confrontation between Williams and his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend. The two exchanged gunfire, and the ex-boyfriend was hit multiple times.
The victim is still in the hospital in serious condition, says Shreveport Police.
Williams was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
