Police received numerous reports regarding suspicious activity and a report that the suspect followed a child onto the campus of Davidson Middle School in San Rafael. Clinton-Jones, police said, is known for several arrests involving “dangerous and indecent criminal acts.”
Calls regarding Clinton-Jones began coming in after 8 a.m. Tuesday. School officials reported that the suspect followed a child on to campus, but made no physical contact with the child. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Arriving at the scene, Santa Rosa PD launched a large-scale search for Clinton-Jones, deploying the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team. During the search, officers prioritized student safety, maintaining contact with school officials.
Clinton-Jones was wearing a GPS tracking monitor. The California Department of Corrections provided officers with real-time location updates and Clinton-Jones was captured without incident in the 200 block of Woodland Avenue.
The suspect was booked into the Marin County Jail for violating his parole, being a sex offender on school grounds, and child annoyance. He is currently being held without bail.
Police say he has a history of arrests with SRPD and was arrested for several similar incidents between 2017 and 2024.
