ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested Micahel King, 36, for possessing a pistol, among other charges.
On April 29, around 6:13 p.m., ISP Troopers were on patrol when they saw a white Kia sedan not use its turn signal. When authorities pulled the car over, King exited the vehicle and told them he had his friend’s gun.
Officials found a loaded pistol on the floorboard of the vehicle.

ISP determined King had multiple felony convictions, making him ineligible to possess a firearm.
Authorities also conducted a field sobriety test, which indicated he was impaired.
King is charged with aggravated DUI with a revoked license, DUI, driving on a revoked license, felon possession of a weapon, aggravated unlawful possession of a loaded weapon in a vehicle and transportation of alcohol.
