Frank Grillo, who plays Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was announced for FanX on Tuesday, April 29. Additionally, he’s known for acting as Sgt. Leo Barnes in “The Purge” franchise, Rick Flag Sr. in the DC Universe, as well as roles in “Warrior”, “The Grey”, “End of Watch”, “Zero Dark Thirty”, “Wolf Warrior 2”, “Wheelman”, and “Boss Level.”
Grillo also starred in “Kingdom”, “Battery Park”, “For the People”, “The Shield”, “Prison Break”, “Blind Justice”, “The Kill Point”, and “Billions.”
“Even though Frank wasn’t an Avenger or superhero, he made his mark in the MCU and DCU, quickly becoming a fan favorite and one of our fans’ most requested celebrity guests every year,” said Dan Farr, FanX founder and show producer. “Securing Frank’s appearance at FanX is a huge win for fans and a special treat, especially since he doesn’t attend a lot of pop culture conventions.”
Grillo is the second Marvel guest the convention is set to welcome this fall. Michael Rooker, who plays Yondu in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” was announced this March.
Grillo joins several exciting previously announced stars for FanX, including David Tennant (“Doctor Who”), Soleil Moon Frye (“Punky Brewster”), William Shatner (“Star Trek”), Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911!”), among others.
FanX this year is set for Sept. 25 – 27, with tickets available online. For updates on the convention, follow FanX on Instagram or Facebook or check the website.
