Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a technology and services provider for media creatives and content owners, has appointed James Abee as account executive, Nashville Region. He brings more than 20 years of experience in broadcast production, live events and business operations to his role leading business development in the region. Abee will serve as ASG’s first full-time representative in the area.
Abee brings a deep production background in broadcast television, documentary, corporate, podcasting and live events, as well as post production. His diverse production experience includes 25 years of editing and post production work. He’s been a director, a technical director, and a camera operator; and held several titles, including head of post and director of international programming at Current TV.
“James’ encyclopedic knowledge of production and post production workflows comes from real-word experience directing and producing long and short-form content for broadcast and corporate teams”, said Dave Van Hoy, ASG President. “His creative and technical experience runs the gamut from concept to delivery. In addition, with his business operations background, I’m confident he’ll be a huge asset to our clients.”
Most recently, Abee was a leader in ASG’s Managed Services team as a business operations and production strategist. In that role, he led the development of new service offerings, optimized budgets and supervised business reporting. He also developed strategic analysis of services, team restructures, forecasting, and created new service pitches.
