One injured in shooting at South Jackson apartment complex

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Police said one person was injured during a shooting at a South Jackson apartment complex.

The shooting occurred at Chapel Ridge Apartments off of Raymond Road just after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29.

Captain William Kendrick, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said two people got into an altercation, and one of them was shot during the incident.

The injured person was transported to a Jackson hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A person of interest was taken into custody.
