The victim’s boyfriend, Rufus Ward III, was transported to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office for questioning, and he allegedly admitted to owning the firearm that was used in the fatal incident. Ward was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Domestic Abuse Battery.
