The Bucks County District Attorney’s office says the man is in the hospital and expected to be charged when released.
According to detectives, the man crashed a van into a parked car, and aggressively followed neighbors with a weapon Saturday evening, “all while shouting politically and religiously charged statements,” said in a release from the DA’s office.
When police arrived, the man allegedly tried going after them with a gun, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon.
The DA’s office says police recovered two weapons from the man.
Per protocol, all police-involved shootings in Bucks County are investigated by county detectives and reviewed by the District Attorney.
