Man in wheelchair hit and killed by school bus

PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — A man has died after police say he was hit and killed by a school bus Monday afternoon.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, a man in a wheelchair was hit by a school bus at approximately 4:49 p.m. on the 500 block of West Lehigh Avenue in Fairhill.

The victim was taken to Temple Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:16 p.m.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash, according to police.
