ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man is facing drug charges after he allegedly fled from a deputy in St. James Parish on Sunday, April 27.
The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were patrolling near East Railroad and South Mullberry streets when they tried to talk with three men, two of which reportedly walked away from the area.
St. James Parish deputies said the third man walked toward the deputy’s vehicle and allegedly threw items out of his pockets and ran as the deputy got out.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies recovered the items, allegedly including a dollar bill with suspected methamphetamine, two cell phones and a wallet with identification belonging to 28-year-old Kobye Kwan Robinson.

Robinson was found near South Airline Avenue.
Deputies said Robinson was arrested and faces charges of resisting an officer, possession of SCH II CDS methamphetamine, possession of SCH I CDS marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and warrants from other agencies.
