CHICAGO (WGN) — Hamburger Mary’s, the diner known for its drag show performances, will reportedly soon return to Chicago.
and Oak Park locations in 2020 due to the pandemic. The Andersonville location on Clark Street was replaced by the salad chain Sweetgreen.
The company made the announcement Sunday in a social media post, writing: “get ready to “Eat, Drink and be… MARY!”
The post doesn’t specify an exact location or opening date, other than it will be in Edgewater and hopes to open “later this summer.” BlockClubChicago reports the new location will be at the former home of Edgewater Mexican Cafe on West Bryn Mawr Avenue.
