ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Brandie Owen, 29, for allegedly pointing a revolver at a woman.

On March 14, around 1:30 a.m., officers were called to El Navegante Bar on 15th Avenue for reports of aggravated assault and property damage. The victim told authorities that the incident started when a fight broke out.

The incident escalated when Owen threatened and pointed a revolver at the victim, according to court records.

The suspect, along with another woman, proceeded to throw cinderblocks into the windshield of the victim’s Chevy Camaro, officials reported.

Police determined Owen is a suspect in an armed robbery that took place at David’s Corner Bar on 7th Street recently as well.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Winnebago County Jail on April 28th.

Owen is charged with aggravated assault while using a deadly weapon, aggravated unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and criminal property damage.

She has not been charged in connection with the alleged armed robbery at David’s Corner.
