(KRON) — Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler suffered a hard fall during the team’s road Game 2 loss against the Rockets on Wednesday, April 23. Four days later, which included a Game 3 Warriors’ win
in San Francisco without him, it is still unclear whether Butler will play in a pivotal Game 4.

As of Sunday evening, one day before Game 4, Butler is officially listed as “questionable,” according to the Warriors’ official Game 4 report. The team’s lists the star foward’s injury as a a left pelvic contusion.

Golden State’s official report did not provide further detail about Butler’s status. However, The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, citing sources, reports that Butler “continues to trend toward a return.”

One day before Game 3, Butler was listed as questionable and ended up sitting out. No other Warriors were listed on the Game 4 injury report.

Even though Butler was in street clothes and unavailable to play, the Warriors were able to pull out a victory in Game 3 — thanks to Stephen Curry. The Warriors superstar carried the team on his back and scored a game-high 36 points, adding nine assists and seven rebounds.

No other player on either team had at least 20 points.

With Butler out of he lineup in Game 3, Jonathan Kuminga was inserted in the starting lineup in his absence. Kuminga logged 16 minutes and scored 7 points on 3-of-7 shooting.

Butler has proved to be a key piece in this first-round series when he is on the floor. In the Warriors’ Game 1 win, Butler logged a team-high 42 minutes and scored 25 points to complement Curry’s 31.

The Warriors play the Rockets at Chase Center for Game 4 on Monday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. It will be televised on TNT and NBC Sports Bay Area.
