On Sunday, April 27, police requested the public’s assistance to find Joyce Gomez, 38. Her body was found just before 11:30 a.m. near W. Wittman Road by Harrison County deputies.
Police said Gomez was reported missing after she was last seen on Friday, April 25 in Bay St. Louis. During the investigation, Pass Christian investigators believed it was possible that foul play was involved in her disappearance.
Police said this is an active investigation, and arrests are forthcoming.
“The Pass Christian Police Department expresses our condolences to the family and friends of Joyce Gomez and would like to thank the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for helping with the investigation,” said Pass Christian Police Chief Daren Freeman.
Anyone with information on the incident can contact Captain Ryan Henry at 228-363-6038 or the MS Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
