Body found inside ‘badly burned’ London home

LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person is dead after a reported Patton Road house fire on Monday morning.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, numerous fire departments answered the call for help around 9:11 a.m. on Monday, April 28, when a home off Patton Road was in flames.

What remained of the home was “badly burnt,” officials said. When it was safe to enter, crews located a body in the bedroom.

The Laurel County Coroner’s Office removed the remains and is reportedly working to notify the next of kin.
