On April 22, around 10:45 p.m., officers say they responded to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of west Ivy Street.
Police say they learned a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the chest during an altercation with another man who was reportedly homeless. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators identified the suspect as 42-year-old Ramon Rossel of Hanford. An arrest warrant was obtained, and on April 25, officers arrested Rossel near Brown and Myrtle streets.
Detectives report Rossel was eventually booked on suspicion of attempted homicide, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of his parole.
