1 killed in Lake Cumberland fishing boat crash, Wayne County officials say

NANCY, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person has reportedly been killed in a boat crash on Lake Cumberland, according to the Wayne County Coroner’s Office (WCCO).

Authorities told FOX 56 News it happened on Sunday evening in the White Oak Creek area. One person was found dead by a fishing boat.

Multiple rescue crews from the Nancy Fire Department, Pulaski County Search and Rescue, and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife were reportedly dispatched in response to the crash, along with the WCCO.

The person who reportedly died has yet to be identified. The deadly crash remains under investigation.
