Haynesville alum Cam Jackson drafted by Carolina Panthers

HAYNESVILLE, LA (KTAL/KMSS) — Former Haynesville and Florida Gator defensive tackle Cam Jackson was selected in the 5th round, 140th overall, by the Carolina Panthers.

Since transferring to Florida in 2023, Jackson started in 22 games where he logged 69 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Jackson has a massive frame, coming in at 6’6”, 328 pounds as measured at the combine and will no doubt be utilized to shut down the opponents run game, complimentary to the two pass rushing edges the Panthers picked up in rounds two and three of the draft.
