Caleb Quick shooting: Clovis Police asks for patience while detectives work

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Clovis Police Department is asking for patience from the public as they investigate the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Caleb Quick earlier this week.

In a statement to YourCentralValley.com on Friday, the police department said that they are working to find and arrest the correct suspect, adding that “every detective is working this case in some capacity.”

What we’re asking for is the public’s patience while our detectives work this homicide case in order to find and arrest the correct suspect and anyone else that was involved in this heinous crime.

The shooting took place the same week as the Clovis Rodeo. However, Clovis Police have reassured visitors that there are cameras covering the entire rodeo grounds – and they will be joined by allied agencies and private security provided by the Clovis Rodeo Association to ensure visitors stay safe.

Anyone with information about the shooting death of Caleb Quick is urged to call the Clovis Police non-emergency number at (559) 324-2800 – or submit an anonymous tip on the department’s free mobile “Clovis Police” app.
