Vicksburg police investigate shootout outside Waffle House

VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police are investigating after a shootout occurred in the parking lot of a Waffle House.

The shooting occurred at the business in the 4000 block of East Clay Street around 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26.

Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones said the shootout took place as vehicles were leaving the parking lot. Three windows of the Waffle House and two vehicles were damaged by gunfire.

Jones said several shell casings were recovered at the scene. No injuries have been reported.
