Riley played six seasons at the college level: three years at Middle Tennessee and three years at Louisville.
The South Carolina native’s first year with the Blue Raiders ended early due to a season-ending injury, and Riley also played during the 2020 pandemic. Both incidents granted the newest Saint two extra years.
Riley racked up 33 tackles, nine passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble, during his final year with the Cardinals.
The 23-year-old will have an opportunity for immediate impact in the Black and Gold’s cornerback room.
Following Paulson Adebo’s departure to the New York Giants, New Orleans’s top two returning corners are fourth-year defensive back Alontae Taylor and sophomore Kool-Aid McKinstry.
