MOUNT CARMEL – Youth baseball players from across lower Northumberland County paraded through Mount Carmel Friday afternoon as the Anthracite Baseball Association kicked off their Major division season.
Teams from Mount Carmel, Elysburg, Locust Gap, Kulpmont, and more all took part in the parade through downtown Mount Carmel.
Last year’s Major division champion, Ralpho West, had the honor of leading the parade.
Joining the parade were fire companies from Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel Township, Kulpmont, and more.
The Anthracite Baseball Association Major division covers lower Northumberland County with teams in Mount Carmel, Shamokin, Kulpmont, Elysburg, Line Mountain, and the surrounding area.
