In addition to free baby essentials, there will be giveaways for car seats, clothing, and other items. There will also be meals provided, community vendors, and insurance companies to help parents explore life and health care options at the event.
The Geaux Baby and Me baby shower event will take place on May 17 inside the Highland Center gym in Shreveport and is open to all parents.
Aside from the essentials to welcome the newest member of your family, the event will also feature on-site health care services for parents.
The baby shower is an extension of their year-round services, where parents can apply to receive free supplies from the organization once every 90 days.
Basic Necessities’ mission is to provide diapers and period product supplies at no cost to people in the ArkLaTex region who are experiencing economic challenges.
