How worried am I about severe weather? As I mentioned above, severe weather is looking unlikely for the rest of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The threat is not zero, but it is looking very low. We will have to keep an eye on Saturday’s activity. Worry level 3 out of 10.

Our best chance of seeing severe weather could come during the middle of next week. Right now, it appears that the chances of strong to severe storms will be highest next Wednesday afternoon and evening. SPC still does not have a slight risk for our area, but it appears that we will at least have a marginal risk. Wind and hail will probably be the main concern, however, given the advertised configuration of the upper-level disturbance, tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

How much rain? The Blend of Models still shows the heaviest rain falling on the northern edge of the area, where more than 4” will be possible. The rest of the area could see one to three inches.

10-day Outlook: . Temperatures will remain above normal during the next ten days with highs mainly in the 80s. We could see highs close to 90 on Sunday and early next week. Lows will mainly be in the 60s. Rain will be possible on Friday, Saturday, and again on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. We should see dry weather return by next weekend.
