Pinkston Middle School art teacher Libby Posey and principal Justin Smith meet with employees from Casey’s 859 on Hwy 62 E. to thank them for sharing information about the Casey’s Cash for Classrooms grant.
Pinkston Middle School has received a $4,000 grant from Casey’s Cash for Classrooms program to purchase a classroom set of drawing/graphics tablets, accessories and a printer. The grant will help expand student learning by making digital art expression possible in the middle school classroom.
Art teacher Libby Posey says “I am honored to accept this generous grant from our community business partners. This award from Casey’s Cash for Classrooms will fund the purchase of drawing tablets for our Pinkston Middle School artists. This support empowers our students to explore digital connections and grow as young artists.”
Katie Petru, Director of PR and Communications at Casey’s, says “Through Casey’s Cash for Classrooms program, our grants are providing meaningful impact, helping create better learning environments and improving the lives of children and educators. Casey’s is grateful to be in a position to provide support for our communities and the schools and families, who work tirelessly to prepare our next generation of leaders.”
