The double elimination tournament is scheduled from May 3-6 and will feature 8 teams, the top 4 from the North and South divisions. The top 2 teams will secure spots in the NJCAA Division I Softball World Series in Yuma, Arizona, May 19-24.
Multiple Region XIV teams have earned national rankings and postseason recognition in recent years. Director of Athletics and Head Softball Coach at BPCC, Amanda Nordberg, explains, “Many of the colleges within Region XIV continue to be recognized at the national level, and we are looking forward to bringing a high level of collegiate softball to our community.”
BPCC’s softball complex features a professional-grade turf infield, elevated grandstand seating, press box, team locker rooms, and stadium lighting to accommodate evening play, thanks to a 2023 renovation. The school will also broadcast all tournament games using its new streaming platform.
Visit the NJCAA website for game schedules, a complete list of participating teams, and more. Tickets can be purchased in person one hour before the first game each day at the Cavalier Softball Field at 6220 East Texas Street in Bossier City. Games can also be watched on the BPCC YouTube channel.
