Baton Rouge man sentenced to 30 years in prison in baby son’s death
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man was sentenced to 30 years in prison in connection with the death of his son.
Court records show Luciano Livious, 27, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter on Monday, April 21. He was indicted on a charge of second-degree murder in September 2023.
Livious was arrested in June 2023 after his six-month-old son died from Shaken Baby Syndrome. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of second-degree murder and cruelty to a juvenile.
