On Sunday just after 6 p.m., Davais allegedly walked up to a man who was standing with his wife at Castro and Market streets, “wound his arm back and then punched” the man without provocation, prosecutors said.
The man fell backwards onto the ground, striking his head and causing injury. Prosecutors allege Davais then walked away while holding a skateboard and trash bags. Witnesses followed him and eventually the police arrived, court documents say.
Although charges have been filed, this remains an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the San Francisco Police Department tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD. Callers or texters may remain anonymous.
