HARVEY, La. (WGNO) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Harvey on Wednesday, April 23.
According to deputies, around 10 a.m. they received several calls of shots fired in the 1110 block of St. Michael Drive.
JPSO deputies arrived to find an unresponsive man on the ground outside a home suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.

No further details are available at this time. The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy is done, and the family is notified.
Deputies are in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
