CPSO said a deputy attempted to stop a four-door sedan at South Lakeshore and I-220. The driver refused to stop and fled westbound on I-20 before crashing near exit 5. The driver of the sedan, Jefferey Moran, allegedly exited the vehicle and ran toward Greenwood Road. He was pursued by two deputies on foot and reportedly jumped over two fences and entered the parking lot of Averitt Trucking, where he was arrested without incident.
Moran had multiple outstanding warrants with both CPSO and the Shreveport Police Department, and a firearm was recovered from the vehicle. Moran is facing various charges, including illegal possession of stolen property, aggravated flight from an officer, two counts of unauthorized entry into a place of business, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, public intimidation, manufacturing or distribution of Schedule I and the outstanding warrants and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
Two passengers were also in the vehicle, identified as Cadarius Southall and Taylon Brown. Southall was booked into Caddo Correctional Center. Brown was issued a summons to appear in court for possession of Schedule 2.
