According to court documents filed in Delaware County, Ashton Bledsoe was charged with five counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, each a Level 4 felony.
On the morning of April 10, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of W. 17th Street on a report of a fight. When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as Bledsoe, who was beaten and bloody inside a vehicle.
At the time, Bledsoe told officers that he was reportedly jumped in the area of Thomas Park. The documents said that a man at the scene told officers that Bledsoe was “f—— with” a 15-year-old, leading to the reported altercation.
Later that day, a woman called the department, also alleging that Bledsoe was having sex with the teen. In an interview with the 15-year-old, the teen detailed multiple sexual encounters with Bledsoe, something the teen said occurred daily for around five to six weeks.
The teen told police that the most recent sexual encounter had been the morning of April 10. A family member of the teen reportedly saw Bledsoe in her bedroom, which led to family confronting the teen.
In an interview with Bledsoe, the documents said he initially denied having sex with the teen, but later told police that he did have sex with her “a couple times.”
The court documents state that Bledsoe is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond. Bledsoe’s initial hearing is scheduled for May 5.
