Venture Construction, a frequent builder for national chains, is contracted to complete the job with periodic payments and a final balance due 30 days after project completion.
Demolition is currently underway at the site. The Facebook page Developing Vernon, Beauregard, and Rapides Parishes shared the update, writing, “Demolition is now underway at the former Johnny Carino’s location in Alexandria! We’re excited to share that this site will soon be home to a brand-new Olive Garden. Stay tuned for our official announcement, and don’t forget to like and follow us for the latest updates!”
The news comes just days after Johnny Carino’s formally announced its closure, leaving a prime restaurant location open along one of Alexandria’s busiest corridors.
The prospect of an Olive Garden has been a frequent subject of local speculation and social media buzz over the years, with many residents expressing nostalgia for the brand’s signature dishes and family-friendly atmosphere.
Now, with documents filed and demolition in progress, those long-held hopes are one step closer to being served — al dente.
