The unannounced collaboration took place on April 22 at Goyang Stadium (just outside Seoul) during Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour.
As Coldplay began playing “APT.” – Rosé’s hit duet originally recorded with Bruno Mars – lead singer Chris Martin asked, “Is that how it goes?” before the K-pop star burst onto the stage to deafening cheers.
The ecstatic crowd’s reaction was so overwhelming.
Unsurprisingly, concert-goers and global fans alike are raving over the moment.
Fan videos show Rosé and Chris Martin grinning ear-to-ear as they sing together under neon lights and confetti. The videos quickly trended online, with countless posts celebrating the unexpected East-meets-West collaboration.
For those who missed the live show, there are some high-quality clips of the duet on YouTube – and it’s a must-watch moment for any music lover (the clips have already racked up hundreds of thousands of views in a day!).
What made this onstage surprise truly special was the genuine camaraderie and joy radiating from the performers. Rosé looked right at home next to Coldplay, her face lit up with happiness as she belted her verses, and Chris Martin watched her with excitement.
It was a fun, heartwarming sight — a veteran stadium band jamming with a K-pop phenom, all in sync and clearly having a blast.
The gesture seemed sincere: Coldplay didn’t just bring Rosé out for a token cameo; they let her song take center stage, showing mutual respect between artists. The performance felt both epic and personal: epic in its scale (confetti, stadium sing-along, two superstars on one stage) yet personal in how genuinely thrilled Rosé and Coldplay were to be performing together.
It’s the kind of once-in-a-lifetime duet that reminds us why live music is so enchanting. As the final notes of “APT.” rang out (for the second time!) and Rosé and Chris embraced to roaring applause, one thing was clear: this was a Seoul night that fans and artists alike will cherish for a long time to come.
