Utah Wildlife Federation announced “Lessons Through the Lens: Kids for Conservation” in a press release, saying it’s a summer photography camp for youth between the ages of 12 – 19. During four Saturday sessions on Antelope Island, students will have the chance to receive instruction from some of Utah’s best, as well as grow their photography and editing skills. Additionally, there will be discussions centered on wildlife ethics, conservation, and citizen science.
“This camp gives kids a powerful new way to connect with nature,” said Shauna Hart, Board Chair of the Utah Wildlife Federation and one of the camp’s photography mentors. “Wildlife photography is more than just taking a picture—it’s about seeing the world differently, and understanding our place in it. That’s why we do this. It’s a win-win for kids and wildlife.”
According to the release, there are only 20 spots available that cost $25 each. Registration ends May 23.
